“Ver in die ou Kalahari” is a mining village called Lime Acres.

Lime Acres is a small town that was established in 1964 and accommodates 6000 residents. The area is rich with lime stone deposits; in 1954 the first kilns now known as PPC Lime Acres came into operation. Lime Acres is situated between Postmasburg and Kimberley.

PPC Lime Acres became a client of AESSEAL Kuruman in 2011, when Arno Nieuwenhuis started the AESSEAL Kuruman branch. AESSEAL Kuruman supplied PPC with Labtecta’s, packing and Belzona.

Impactor Hammermill at PPC Lime Acres shaft got damaged where the taper bearing is fixed to the shaft, the Kuruman team provided the solution for the temporary repair of the shaft using Belzona 1111 and following the IFU. This repair enabled the shaft to run for another 3.5 years, after which another repair was done recently, using the same method. This shaft is currently still in operation.
